Merry Christmas Eve

What a wonderful day of celebrations we have had!  Lots of fun, food, family and of course celebrating the birth of Jesus!  We spent the morning finishing up last minute things and the got the kids down for early naps!  And thankfully, Christian even napped today!

We had a little scare this morning when Christian woke up with a rash covering his whole upper body. After a call to the after hours nurse line and then to my mother,  I was able to recall that the shirt that Christian wore the day before was a new shirt (Shame on me for not washing it before the first wear.) So poor Christian has been red, itchy, and splotchy all day.  Thank heavens for Benadryl, which helped a little bit.

We went to the 3pm church service and it would be quite a fib to say that the kids were angels :)  They definitely had too much built up excitement and anticipation to do very well in church today but we made it through, thank God for the wonderful lady behind us who was able to entertain Bryleigh for the majority of the service.

We stopped at home to pick up some food and presents and Christian was very excited to see that Santa had dropped off a letter while we were at church!

Thanks to freelettersfromsantaclause.com
And what better to start of the festivities is seeing Santa Clause and Mrs. Clause walking down the sidewalk by Grandma's house.  Perfect timing, because Christian had just asked us why he couldn't see Santa when he dropped off the note!

Bryleigh wasn't too big of a fan of Santa's this year!

We took lots of pictures...

Ate lots of food...

and let the kids play tonight until the kids were finally able to talk Grandma into letting them open their presents!

Then it was time to come home and get ready for Santa!

Santa's Helpers got busy tonight...

Presents for both kiddos

A lonely tree waiting for little kiddos!
Santa's helpers did have a few frustrations with some defective toys while assembling tonight but nothing that a little call to Santa's factory at the "north pole" can't take care of ;)  We will let the kids enjoy them for a bit tomorrow morning until we can talk to Santa!  Ha.

Now off to bed for me since we are going to have another great day of fun tomorrow starting bright and early!

Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night!
