Grandma's 81st

My Grandma celebrated her 81st birthday yesterday and to celebrate, we planned a cookout at her house with the family!  The weather cooperated for us and we couldn't have asked for a more beautiful evening!  It was perfect getting everyone together and all 4 of her great-grand kids were there, which is her joy in life!  I'm so thankful for my Grandma.  She is such a kind, supportive, loving person and I'm so blessed that my kids get to have their Great Grandma T. in their life!  Here are some pictures from our evening:

Down by the River

This morning Bryan and I took the kids down along the river because I thought I had gotten an email about kids activities going on.  But when we got there, it was more of a drawing fair where professional artists were drawing scenery.  Talk about awkward for us :(  But we made the best of it and grabbed some paper and crayons and told the kids to color away!

It was short lived fun though because they weren't entertained for long! But the Daily Tribune had reporters there and took pictures so I'm curious to know if we will be in the paper tomorrow!  If so, this will be the 2nd time in just a couple of months.  The reporter basically knew us by name :)

But we took the kids for lunch at Kathy's Drive Inn and now they are in bed for their naps! Time for me relax for a bit!

Rain Rain...Come Again

We have been getting such strange weather these days. It will be sunny one minute and down pouring the next. Tonight was one of those nights. We got so much rain in probably about an hour.  We were visiting the in laws so we stayed until it calmed down a bit but when we went to load up the kids, Bryan had to walk through a foot of water to get the kids in the car.
But the calm after the storm is always beautiful. Christian really enjoyed the rainbow and now looks for them after every rainfall!

Bryleigh's Bow

Today I had a long day at work and I came home to Grandma and Tasha at our house helping Bryan to entertain the kiddos AND Grandma had Bryleigh's hair in a cute little pigtail!  This means that Bryleigh's hair is finally getting long enough to do stuff with!  Yayyyy!  This is what I love about having a girl!  I remember when my mom used to braid my hair all time and I can't wait to learn all these girlie tricks for Bryleigh.

So needless to say,  I decided to dress up Bryleigh's pig tail a bit!

She was so excited too, if you can't tell!  Okay, maybe not exactly but she did leave it for awhile!  But she was even more happy to take it out herself!  And boy, did she have some nice hair after that!

I just can't wait to start making little pigtail bows!  This is just too much fun!  But until a little more hair grows in, I'll continue with the big bow headbands for now!  Which I am still crafting away on and have been selling quite a few!  Its such a fun hobby for me!  I have started a facebook page for my bows so if you are interested in cute headbands for your daughters, nieces, friends come check them out here at Bryleigh's Bowtique

Here's one of my most recent creations!

New Do

I almost cried today when Bryan informed me that he was going to shave Christian's head!  Although I know that it will grow back and Christian has been begging daddy to do it, I still didn't take it any lighter!  I know that its just hair but for the past 4 years, he has always had the same haircut and I thought he would be bald with his head shaved!  But I'm glad that I trusted Bryan and although I didn't watch,  I ended up loving it in the end!

And check out all that hair...

Now I know he's our boy, but he's so handsome!  And I can guarantee you that he looks pretty darn identical to his daddy at that age, now I just have to find some pictures of Bryan at 4 years old!

Yup, he is his father's son!!!!

Weekend of Outdoors

Swimming, family reunion, cookout, and running through sprinklers...our weekend summed up for you!  We were outside all weekend and the weather cooperated for the most part and we were able to sneak inside for the storms!  But overall, the weekend was very warm and nice.

I don't have a whole lot of pictures because we were too busy having fun!  But here are some that I was able to quick sneak the camera out :)

Christian has been begging us to get out his Monster Truck and I finally remembered to charge the battery AND he can touch the pedals!  He was so excited and loved driving the girls around!

This morning we went to see my friend Jenna's new home!  And the boys had some  sprinkler fun!

Carson, Landon, and Christian

It did storm quite a bit this weekend but I was happy that we got enough rain that we didn't have to water our plants!  I sound so old but it sure helps the water bill out :)  There was a beautiful double rainbow last night after the storm and although the picture doesn't show it, it was a sight to see!

Bubbles:)

Bubbles, bubbles, and more bubbles!  This is the story of our Thursday night! Since it was the last day that one of our foster sisters was going to be in town, we went out to eat with the in law's to Golden Corral!  Then we finished the night off by sitting in the hot tub! And what's a hot tub without lots of bubbles...

Bubble Butt :)

And funny moment, Bryleigh kept putting her hands down her pants and we couldn't figure out why.  We summed it up that it could only be one thing...She is her father's child :)  Love you hunny!!!!

And last but not least, we are so proud of our little man!  He learned to blow bubbles in the water and dunk his head!  I was able to catch it on video!  I think once fall comes, he will be well prepared for swim lessons!
