Cookin' Fool

Bryan was able to get some cute pictures of Bryleigh today cookin' today!  I bet you'll never guess who dressed our lovely little chef!  I'm not so sure what Christian would do if he didn't have a little sister to play dress up with!

Sorry its a little blurry!

After I got off of work, it was haircut time!  Bryan and Christian both got their hair cut!  I love Christian's hair after its first cut but it only lasts for like a week because his hair grows so fast!  I do remember when we couldn't wait for his hair to grow and now I want it to stop.  I guess you can never win!

During the summer last year, Bryan and I bought the P90X Workout System and we never really started the program even though it cost us an arm and a leg but yesterday we started it !  Our upcoming trip to Mexico is my motivation to get more in shape. So hopefully I can hold myself accountable to this program.  And I'm going to look like this in 60 some days!  HA

So wish me luck!

Our weekend

It was a pretty laid back weekend for us!  We lounged around basically all weekend except for the trip yesterday to Best Buy for computer issues.  It seems to be weekly trip for us since buying my new laptop.  So it seems to be that our router program is causing my computer to freeze on start up. So I have given up on it and am making Bryan figure out what we are going to do.  Our router is not that old and I would to have to buy a new one now!

But for some fun pictures, we let Christian finger paint the other day.  I hate messes but I know that I need to give in and let him get messy once in a while!  So Daddy got into it and helped!

We also played with play dough this weekend!  Amazing, I know,  2 messy things in one weekend!  Ha Ha

We also had our friends, Wendy and Brian, stop buy with their 2 daughters, Morgan who is only 2 months younger than Christian and their newest addition, Cortlyn, who is only 2 weeks old.  Sorry, no pictures!  I was too busy loving up on sweet little Cortlyn!  Bryan says its great that I got my baby fix in for now!  Wendy if you are reading this, feel free to come over any time because my baby fix was not fulfilled yet :)

We also went to visit my grandparents today as they are going down to Texas for a couple of months!  We sure are going to miss you guys!  Love you!   Now I'm going to get in some magazine reading as both of the kids did not get very long naps today and they are already sleeping!

Mexico.....Here we come!

Today is the day....our vacation to Riviera Maya, Mexico is officially booked!  So April 1st cannot come fast enough!  We will have 9 days of sunny skies, warm weather, and relaxation.  Bryan and I are so excited!  It is our very late honeymoon!  We sure will miss the kids but they will be in good hands with several days spent at each of the grandparents houses!  So yes, be jealous!  Because this is where we will be in a couple months!

Now for family movie night!  Should be fun with 2 hyper kiddos!

Uh Oh...Spagettios!

Today was a very exciting day!  For starters, we got our new microwave installed!  Our other microwave started to go out a couple of weeks ago and were told it would cost $130 just for the service man to come and diagnose it and then the cost of parts.  Just a side note, we remodeled our kitchen in 2007 and bought the microwave brand new and the mega tron went out on it in 2009.  So in other words, do not buy a whirlpool microwave because for $400 it should not have went out 2 times within 3 1/2 years. So here is our new Kenmore Microwave/Hood Combination and we love it!

And, we also went to see a travel agent tonight and think we have the destination picked for our vacation in April!  But I think I can book it cheaper myself so hopefully soon we will have a vacation to look forward to!  This will mine and Bryan's honeymoon, 4 years late :)

I also made ravioli for dinner and it was so easy and delicious!  Bryleigh sure liked it!

I had to throw this one in there!  This was from the Packer Game on Sunday!  Bryleigh fell asleep and when it got so exciting at the end, she woke up to lots of cheering! Poor little girl didn't know what to think!

Best Buy...or is it??

So I don't have any pictures for you today but I do have some venting to do! I"m sure you have already read some of my posts about my wonderful husband who tried to surprise me with a new laptop for Christmas and it has turned into a nightmare.  I am on my 4th laptop from Best Buy and now this one has problems too!  The first laptop was an Azus which blue screened on me the first time I started it.  Then I got a Dell and it would randomly go to a black screen on start up so I took it back an was told it had a hard drive issue so I exchanged it for a new Dell of the same model and within 24 hours, that one did the same thing.  So here I am, with a Toshiba, and now it will freeze after it starts up. I am soooooo frustrated, you don't even understand.  We buy a lot from Best Buy but I am really rethinking our decision to buy electronics from there.  It is just unbelievable unless the Geek Squad just does not know what they are doing.

So tomorrow, Bryan will head to Stevens Point once again to deal with Best Buy.  Let's hope that something gets resolved, maybe by next Christmas I will have a laptop that works :(

On a lighter note, I finished a HUGE project for work today and was told it was well written when I submitted it to the state!  I have a huge relief off my shoulders now!  And Bryan and I also got tickets to go to Avenged Sevenfold and Stone Sour Concert next week in La Crosse!  It should be a fun night and also a much needed night out for us!

GO PACKERS!

All I have to say is GO PACK GO!  Bears still suck!

We are headed over to our Uncle's House to cheer on the team!  We hope everyone has a great, relaxing Sunday!

Our Smart Boy!

Yesterday, Bryan had doctor appointments so Grandma Lisa picked up Christian from Preschool. And she was excited to tell me that Christian received the results from his 3 year old assessment at school.  The teacher was very impressed, so I"m told.  The tested him on colors, body parts, shapes, counting, matching, placing objects, self help, social, following directions, and group activities.  Christian knew all his colors except grey, he knew all about his body parts, he knew all his shapes except for diamond and hexagon, he did well with self help and social except he has some problems with sharing (who would have thought since he has a 1 year old sister who tries to take all his toys from him), and he participates in all activities but shys away from the actions such as finger plays (I"m pretty sure he gets this from his mother!).   His teacher, Miss Kelli writes, "Christian is a pleasure to have in class!  He is very well rounded and this shows in his ability to play in any area and with anyone!  He easily adapts to all activities!

He also said to Grandma Lisa yesterday,  "Do you know Martin Luther King?  He gave a speech, he is a very smart man."  What a character!  They must have discussed him this week at school.  I was hoping he would tell me about Martin Luther King and later on he did.  I was able to have him repeat the things and I caught it on video camera!

He has quite the little gestures and attitude lately but he never fails to keep us laughing.  And boy does he have some good dancing moves!    We are so proud of our little man!  He never ceases to amaze us!

"Prime"

Last week, I had to attend the yearly ethics/boundaries seminar for my CEU Credits for my license renewal and the speaker was great and showed interesting video clips through out the training.  One of the video clips that she showed was the trailer for the movie "Prime."  It is about a 37 year old newly single woman (Uma Thurman) who is in therapy and finds a 23 year old hottie (Bryan Greenberg), which just happens to be her therapist's (Meryl Streep) son.  But her therapist thinks it might be a fling so continues to see her as a patient. After seeing the movie trailer, I decided I had to rent it.  So tonight I watched it and I thought it was cute.  Definitely a good example of unethical when it comes to my profession of social work but but definitely worth seeing!  Here is a sneak peak at the movie:

And of course after being well for about 1 week in the Keith household, we have once again began passing around colds.  Yesterday it was Christian and today it was Bryleigh, so who will be next????  So Bryleigh was in bed by 6pm and Christian helped daddy shovel for a little while.

And now we are calling it a night until my show "Teen Mom" comes on at 9!  I know what you're thinking but it is my one weakness.  I just can't help but see how immature these kids having kids can be!

Better Late than Never

For Bryleigh's 1st Birthday, her godmother, Jenna, gave her the cutest onesie!  I promised that I would get a picture of her wearing it! I took it awhile ago but it was on a different SD card and I forgot about it!  So here you go Jenna! And guys,  I got her number if you want it :)

Also, the kids got the cutest kitchen from my parents for Christmas so we get fed lots of good "food" from the kids!  They love it!

And I couldn't resist taking pictures of our little Diva!  Always trying to wear mommy's clothes!

Today was a very cold, snowy day!  We have another 5 inches of snow added on to the snow we received this weekend!  So we are staying in tonight and eating Pork Chops for dinner and watching Step Up 3!  Should be a good snuggle night with the kiddos!  As you can see, we are already bathed and in jammies!

Have a warm evening everyone!

Shopping!

What would any girl want to do on a Saturday?  Well of course go shopping with their mom!  Well maybe not everyone, but my mom and I love going shopping together.  And today was a lot of fun!  Bryleigh and I had some girl time in Appleton and my dad tagged along too!  Christian stayed home with daddy because he wasn't feeling to well.  I'm thinking its a virus because he has a slight fever and just wants to relax.

I was only really looking for a couple of things today and one being a shirt for Bryan for our family pictures.  We have pictures scheduled for February 4th so I have to find us matching outfits and I did accomplish this task but of course I couldn't pass up some sales also!  My new favorite store for the kids is Crazy 8!  If you don't know what this is, its the knock off of Gymboree and I love it!  Here are some of the cute outfits I got for Bryleigh for next year!

Not all of the outfits that I got were on the website but I was able to find some cute ones!  My mom and I bought a very cute Panda outfit for my niece, Phoenix!  She is going to be so cute!

Now on to listening to my wonderful husband shout at the TV!  (He's watching the Packer game.)  I've come to learn that this is what men do during football games!  I guess I'll never understand :)

Good News!

My little niece, Phoenix, is getting discharged from the hospital today!  She has kept all of her food down since I was up there last, which was Monday! They are still unsure why she is coughing up blood but once her respiratory symptoms subside they will do the test where they go down the throat with a tube to see what is going on. So at least baby girl can be at home to her own crib and hopefully get some sleep!  All those thoughts and prayers definitely pay off!

Snowy Day

Today I went up north to the Tomahawk, Rhinelander, and Antigo Area Hospitals to do some Marketing for work and I have been dreading this for weeks.  I am not a good presenter when put in a room with many people.  I freeze up and stutter.  So when I was told that part of my job would be to give presentations, I put it off for as long as possible.  But I finally did it, and started scheduling presentations.  Of course the day that I have to go up north, it snows.  But luckily the roads were not too bad.  And Thank the Lord, my presentations went great!  I really worked myself up for no reason because the case managers were so friendly and I knew what I was talking about so I shouldn't have been so nervous.

On my way home, I stopped in St. Point and hopefully got everything straightened out with my laptop.  Bryan bought me a laptop for Christmas and since the beginning of December I have gone through 2 laptops. The first laptop gave me a blue screen on start up and the 2nd laptop had hardware issues.  So now I will be on my 3rd laptop when it arrives at the end of the week. Hopefully this will be the last.  Then I did some retail therapy at Kohl's and was happy to come home to my happy kiddos and happy hubby too!  We ate dinner and had a relaxing night.

I have to share what I came in to find after I went to get Christian dressed after his bath....

My sweet little girl with Christian's underwear on her head!  This is Bryleigh's newest game.  She will try to wear whatever clothes she finds laying around!  (And don't worry, they were clean!!!!)

Not so fun weekend!

Yesterday afternoon we headed to Appleton to wish my brother in law, sister in law, and nephew best wishes in their journey to San Diego, California!  You guys will be greatly missed but we know that you will do great! And I'm a little jealous that your moving to a warm climate! The LaBarge Family going away party was held at Naut's Landing Bar and Grill in Menasha.  We had a great time!  Here are some pictures from our evening!

Today I headed up to Marshfield to visit my niece,  Phoenix, because she is still in the hospital.  She still has a very bad cough and is not able to keep barely any food down so they will be keeping her at least another night.  Although she is so sick, she is still a little trooper and so happy!  I feel so bad with her little IV, she wants it out so bad.

Phoenix really loving her breathing treatment :)

Tomorrow its back to work again and then back to the hospital if little Phoenix hasn't been discharged as I will be in Marshfield anyways!  This week will be a little different because I will be going up north for work on Tuesday and then Wednesday I have training in town so I will only be at the office 2 days this week!  Change up the scenery a little bit!

Busy Busy

It has very busy around here the past couple of days. First, my niece, Phoenix, is in the hospital once again.  For those of you that don't know, she was born with Tracheal Esophageal Fistula (Spelling?) which can be described as her esophagus was not connected to her stomach so when she first tried to eat after birth, she choked and aspirated because the milk had no where to go.  She did have surgery when she was 24 hours old to correct this problem but along came other problems that were found. Just to name a few Neuroblastoma, possible heart murmur, and many eating and throat problems.  On Friday morning, Little Phoenix woke up covered in dried blood in her crib so they decided they wanted to admit her to the hospital because this happened back in April and she ended up having Pneumonia but they also are not really sure what is causing her to cough up blood.  So I was in Marshfield anyways, so after work I went up to be with my sister and mom.

As of today, Phoenix is still in the hospital but might be discharged today.  They have been running many tests and so far have ruled out RSV and Influenza.  They will have to do a test where they put a camera scope down her through to see if there is scar tissue or what not but are not able to do this while she is coughing so hard so they will do this in a couple of weeks.  So I just keep receiving updates from my sister but no definite cause has been determined.  I hope they find something out soon.  Prayers would be greatly appreciated.  Its so hard to see kids/babies in the hospital when they have IVs in their arm.

We did end up going to eat with my in laws to El Mezcal last night. Then we went back and watched Despicable Me and then we came home and put the kids to bed and Bryan and I watched Case 39.  This was a very weird but good movie.  Today will be going to Appleton for my brother and sister in law's going away party so it should be a fun time!

Here is Christian and Bryleigh in their matching Adidas outfits!  Bryan thinks I really need to stop matching the kids but I love it :)

Have a great weekend!

Morning Madness

Today started out on the wrong foot.  I usually have my alarm set to go off Monday-Friday but I turned it off this week and have just been setting it every night but last night I forgot.  Well, of course, my baby alarm clock did not go off at 4:30 like she usually does every morning, so this momma did not get up until 6:55, which is the time I should be leaving my house.  So I was able to get ready in 15 minutes and quick headed out the door and thankfully, I made it to work only 2 minutes late.  AND to top it all off, I received 4 compliments on my hair do.  Mind you, I threw my hair up in a messy bun type thing which I usually just do on lazy weekends.  Now if they only knew why my hair was up. But I did have a great day at work and was so busy that it felt like I just got there and then got to leave for home.

Now I shouldn't have been surprised that today started out wrong because last night was very frustrating.  First, I was trying to get together all our documents for our tax appointment coming up and could not find the receipt I was looking for to get an energy tax credit on our new doors.   And then to top off my night, I get a call from Best Buy that my brand new computer has a virus.  I have been having nothing but problems since Bryan bought my a new computer for an early Xmas present.  Thankfully, by the end of the night I had solutions to my problems.  We purchased the doors with our Menard's Card so we are able to print off a receipt from the in store kiosk and the Geek Squad made System Restore disks for my computer so they are going to work with it. So this has been my last couple of days.

But on the positive side, I  went to church tonight with my mom and Bryleigh.  Christian decided he wanted to stay at Great Grandma's house.  I love the prayer and praise service our church has on Wednesdays! They are so uplifting and fun.
Now just going to relax before hitting the hay but not before I set my alarm this time!  Happy Wednesday!

Bedtime Routine

Every night before we put Christian to bed, we say our prayers and then he picks out a book for us to read.  During the summer, his favorite book to read was "Go Clifford Go" but then after he received new books for his birthday in July, he lost interest in this book.  It only took me reading this story to him several times for him to memorize the story by him remembering me read it and looking at the pictures.  A couple of nights ago, he picked this book and he read the whole story to me, word for word, with only a couple cues from me.  Its just amazing the memory this little boy has.  So tonight I was able to capture him reading it!

And his usual routine, as you can see on about the 3rd page, is he likes to ask questions about every thing that is going on in the pictures!  Sometimes it makes for a very long story :)

2011

Here are some things I am aiming at accomplishing in 2011:

1. Bible Study every day

2. Donate more to charities, church, those in need

3. Become more crafty: this is why I started making Bryleigh hair bows and maybe I'll graduate to making her other things.

4.Work on being more patient

5. Plan a family vacation or maybe a very late honeymoon for Bryan and myself

6. Possibly start working on baby #3 late in the year if I can talk my hubby into it :)

7. Drywall the panel wall in the living room and paint the living room again!

8.Eat more healthy meals!

9. Landscape our house in the fall

10. GET OUR CONTRACTOR TO FINISH THE GARAGE!!!!!!!!!

I hope I can accomplish these goals this year!  I hope everyone had a Happy New Years!  We celebrated by the kids being in bed by 8, hubby in bed by 10 because he is sick, and me staying up till just past midnight and then going to bed!  We're still waiting for this all this sickness to leave our house :(
