Circus and Home News!

Today was the long awaited day for Bryleigh's 4K Circus. She has been looking forward to this day for the past month! She was a gymnast at the circus and although I have been encouraging her to practice her routine, she decided to wing it today! She was the first act of the circus and she was the cutest!

Handing out popcorn to the audience

On another note, the For Sale sign went up in our yard this morning. And within an hour of going on the MLS, we had our first showing!  And if that wasn't eventful enough, the first showing resulted in an offer already. AND we have 6 more showings this weekend.  I never anticipated that our house would sell this quickly so I'm starting to go into panic mode!  I just need to trust in the Lord for this one because I'm sure he has a great plan that I"m not yet aware of! Now I only we could find a house that we want to be our "forever" home!

Twinning

Bryleigh was so excited when she got to school this morning to see that her and her friend, Reese, were twinning!

I guess great mom's think alike :)

Life Lately

The post Christmas busy-ness (and blues) have hit me.  I just love the soft, warm glow of Christmas lights and Christmas time, so I get really bummed when I have to take down Christmas :(  But we wasted no time cleaning up the house since we only have a few short weeks until our house goes on the market.

We had a home stager come in yesterday to give us some tips. Little did I know that I would become so emotional during her recommendation overview. While she did give us some good tips, I'm just not ready to take all of her recommendations. My biggest tear jerker...we were advised to take down all of our family portraits.  This is definitely not going to be happening. In my mind, I'm not ready to emotionally detach from our home until I know that we have a wonderful home that we are moving to. So until we find our future home, I'm in no rush to sell. So today, I'm much more relaxed and less overwhelmed because I allowed myself time to review the recommendations and throw out quite a few of them!

But here is one project that we started and I"m still trying to decide if I like it...

Before:

After:

We have a few more projects to complete and then I think our house will be "show" ready for now!

In between completing little projects, we have also been keeping a close eye on our little Boo kitty. She was declawed and spay last week so she has been under the weather and looped up on pain meds!  But she ripped open her stitches on one paw yesterday so we had to make at trip to the vet for a bandage.  She is one unhappy and uncomfortable little girl...

But it doesn't stop her from being our super sweet, cuddly kitty. She tucked herself right in next to Bryleigh girl tonight!

We have also found time to play with our Christmas gifts. The cotton candy maker is lots of fun!

And since I don't think I shared ( and I think my friend is so talented at crafting) I wanted to share the kid's Christmas gifts to their teachers!

I'm very much enjoying my time off and am dreading having to go back to school in a few weeks.  I just love spending extra time with the family. I have gotten to see my nieces so much over the holidays that I miss them more and more when I don't see them...

She wanted to take a "selfie"
I hope everyone is staying warm in these sub zero temperatures.  Too bad they don't call off work like they did school today. I'm hoping for warmer temps tomorrow!
