Landscaping...In progress

I said earlier in the week that I would post pictures of what Bryan and I spent all day working on this past Saturday.  So although we are not quite finished, here is what we have done as of now!

So as of right now, we have to have our 2 tree stumps in front ground out and then replace the dirt and seed and we need to buy a trellis and bird feeder, and get gutter extensions.  We finally just got rid of the huge logs in our yard but I was very upset because Bryan and I had a pile of small brush sitting in front that we planned on moving to the back by our fire pit and when we were gone last Friday, someone came and took it.  I was so upset, because out of the 3 trees we took down this year, we didn't get any of the wood  But I have to be positive and I just keep thinking that they must have needed it more than we did :)

The weather was beautiful today so we got in a little play time with the water table before Christian's Tball game.

Bryleigh's 18 month update!

Bryleigh is almost 19 months now and since she will not be going to her check up until she is 19 months (I'm taking her the same time I take Christian for his 4 year check up) I wanted to update you on what she is doing now.

Talking:  This is your biggest accomplishment these days! You are learning so many new words.  The words that come to mind for me right now that you are saying are:  Want more, happy, un-uh for no, kitty, baby, and the most recent as of this past weekend, please, bubbles, puppy, and the funniest, "meow."  I have been trying for the past couple of days to get his on video but you haven't let me yet!  It is the cutest! So now we are working on all of your animal sounds!  You talk lots of gibberish but it usually sounds like you are trying to tell us something.  You also wave and say "bye"  when leaving.  The other day, you walked up almost a whole block waving to Grandma as she was driving away. I"m sure you will continue learning new words daily from here on out!

Moving:  You are long past learning to walk and now run everywhere!  You know just how to be sneaky and do something that you are not supposed to and then run from mom or dad when we come to get you!  You are getting better at sitting in your stroller for walks now.  As long as you have a buckle to clip/unclip, you are a happy girl. But you will definitely let us know when it it our turn to unclip the buckle for you!  You are still our little dare devil.  You will climb on anything and everything.  And if you fall, you rarely ever cry. You will get right back up and try it again! I'm not sure if mommy and daddy don't baby you as much or if you have been "beat" up enough by your brother to be able to handle it.  If you get an "owie" you rub it for a second and then you are fine.

Eating: I'm not sure what to say about your eating.  It is definitely random.  Most days you will barely eat anything and just pick at your food and then there are times that we will go to a buffet and you will eat everything and anything and finally after everyone is done eating and we are ready to leave, we will have to stop you from eating.  We just never know with you.  You used to be such a good little eater but now you are picky.  You love fruit and any type of crackers but you rarely will touch your vegetables, meats, or cheeses. Oatmeal still continues to be your favorite breakfast food and you eat it every morning.  Not to mention, we have found that this is the only way we can mix in your allergy medication without you noticing. (Just for the record, the taste is horrible and I would spit it out also.)We're hoping that you start to try and like more foods soon.

Sleeping: You go to bed at 8pm every night and wake up around 8am.  You only take 1 nap now. You lay down for your nap around 11:30 and sleep till about 2:30.  Some days, if you are really cranky, we lay you down for a mid morning nap and then a later afternoon nap and you seem to do well with this on those days you are really tired. You have to have your nuk for naps/bedtime but we are trying to get into a routine that you leave your nuk in your crib after waking up and most times you throw a temper tantrum when we do this but the other day, you actually put your blankie and nuk in the crib without mommy or daddy even asking you.  I guess routine is starting to pay off :)

Growing: We have your 18 month check up and shots :(  on July 11 so I will know for sure how much you have grown in the past 3 months.  But the last time we took you in for your constant runny nose, which turns out is seasonal allergies,  you were around 18 lb.  You are wearing 12 months clothes but you are starting to fit into your 18 month clothes.  I have so many cute summer dresses for you in 18 month sizes that I put you in them even if they are too big :)  You wear a size 4 shoe.  You are still in size 3 diapers. Mommy still puts you in hair bows and I think you are getting used to them.  Although, occasionally you get feisty and throw the headbands at me.

Personality:  Bryan and I already know that you are going to give us a run for our money in your teenage years.  You are the most stubborn, sassy, strong willed child that I have ever met.  If you don't get your way NOW, then everyone around is going to hear about it. And the looks...if looks could kill, we would be dead everyday.  You scrunch your eye brows and look at us when you are not happy, with that "really?"  look.  You have rolled your eyes at us already and this scares me to death.  You have to do everything yourself which as of lately is putting on your hairbows (you do a pretty good job) and putting your clothes/shoes on.  But in that same note, you are so sweet.  You love to cuddle right after you wake up and will just lay on our shoulders and pat our back.  Its the cutest.  And you give everyone hugs/kisses before bed.  We just love you to death!  You are definitely our little diva child!

Play Ball!!!

Finally, Christian had a great night for T-ball! Grandma and Grandpa L. and my mom came out to watch him play tonight!  It is so fun to watch our little man play!  Although, he still thinks that the concept of the game is to be the first person to run to the ball :)  I was able to get some videos of him tonight!

Isn't it comical how he gets the "pouty" walk going on when he doesn't get the ball?

I was so proud of him after he hit the ball!  It usually takes him a couple of times before he gets a good hit but he had a good one on his second try this time :)

And Bryleigh was just "hanging around"  tonight at the game :)  This was the only way to occupy her because she wanted to get out there and play too!

Parade Time

Although, Bryan and I were exhausted from yesterday's events of landscaping all day (pictures to come soon!)and then taking the kids to see Cars 2 at the Drive Inn Theater last night,  we were still able to drag our butts out of bed to make it to our town's annual parade!

And I'm glad that we did, because it was a beautiful day and the kids had a great time!

I do believe that the kids are sick of the "paparazzi"  because I could not get any good pictures today!  So these will have to do!

I hear we are in for a hot week and I can't wait!  Hopefully we will make it to the pool several times this week and this coming holiday weekend, I get a 5 day vacation!  I can't wait :)

Thomas Adventure!

The day that Christian has been waiting for has arrived!  We spent the afternoon with Thomas The Train!  I was so disappointed last year because Thomas only comes to Green Bay once a year and we were in Green Bay last year when he came and somehow didn't even know it!  So I made sure that I got tickets this year!

We went with my friend Jenna, and her son, Carson!  The boys had a blast and although Christian and Bryleigh didn't get their usual naps, we didn't have any major meltdowns!  Maybe a couple tantrums and Bryleigh did not have many camera friendly smiles today!  But overall, it was a success and we had a fun afternoon!

Here are some photos from our Thomas Trip:

And just to show you how crabby our little miss independent can be...

And the highlight of the day...Train Ride :)

I think we have our hands full, she has the beauty queen wave already :)

The day really wore Christian right out and he slept the entire car ride home!

But not this girl!  She had a five minute "cat" nap and then proceeded to be cranky the entire ride home!

And the best one of all...

You can surely tell that Bryleigh was done for the day!

Random

Yesterday was a great mix up in my book because I had a work training in Wausau at noon so I didn't need to get up at my usual time.  It was so nice to be able to stay in bed and Christian came in to our bed and fell back asleep with me until 8:30!  This never happens!

My work training was very good and informative.  Now I will be bringing back the information on abuse/neglect reporting to inservice the staff! It was only 4 hours so then I headed home and one of my best friends, Jenna, came over with her little guy, Carson!  The boys had so much fun playing together!

We had a great dinner and evening!  And tonight we were looking forward to t-ball but now for the 2nd time this season, its been canceled due to the weather! And they don't make up games so out of 10 sessions, we already missed out on two :(  Bummer!

Oh Baby!

No, I'm not pregnant!  No more babies for me right now!  But I did have a play date with my friend, Jenna, yesterday and I was able to get my baby fix for the month :)  Sweet baby Mason is just the cutest and only 6 days old!  He was a little bigger than Bryleigh and Christian when he was born and I just do not remember my babies being this tiny!

After holding a tiny baby, it finally got me thinking that its time to throw out the stash of breast milk that has been in my freezer for almost a year! 62 ounces to be exact.  I tried to donate it but I found out you need like a ridiculous amount before they will even take it so I was going to save it and mix it in with Bryleigh's food and this just never happened.  So since she has been weaned for 4 months, I decided it was time!

Our Father's Day was pretty low key!  The kids and I went to church and gave Bryan the morning to himself :) The kids and I had given Bryan his gift, an air compressor, earlier in the week so we had no big surprises today!  But we ate dinner at El Mezcal and headed in for the night!

I did a lot of cleaning and finally got Christian and Bryleigh's water/sand table put together! We will only be using it for water though because I'm pretty sure that whoever thought of this idea is crazy!  Have you ever mixed sand and water?????  Or maybe its just me and trying to be too clean!  They were so excited since they have been waiting since Christmas for this!
I hope everyone had a great Father's Day! Now I"m off to bed with my amazing hubby, who gave me 2 wonderful children!

TGIF

Here's a little sneak peak at our Friday Fun...

As I had talked about earlier in the week,  I had won Dells Season Opener Cards from our local radio station so we took advantage of this beautiful day and headed to the Dells.

We started out with a picnic lunch once again!

Denali and my Mom (One of the few I have)
After lunch, we played mini golf at Timber Falls.  Or what you could call mini golf, because it was more like hit the ball once and then pick up the ball and drop it in the hole for my kids!  Although, they had a blast :)

Bryleigh and I in our Mexican Dresses

Too Stinkin' Cute :)
After golfing, we were ready to cool off so we were off to our 2nd destination...Mt. Olympus water and theme park.

The kids finished off the day by going on some rides!

And by the end of the day, we were all feeling like this...

But the kids did great, and we had yet another successful Dells fun Day :)
