Crazy Busy Week

This made me chuckle but it basically sums up the week I've had!

Between long hours at work, sickness in the house, finishing up some tutu/hairbow orders, and writing my graduate school essay,  it has been quite hectic around here and no time to take any fun pictures or blog :(

I will be very relieved once I have my essay complete!  I'm doing a lot of this...
And it is so frustrating because writing has always come easy to me.  I think I am discouraged with the fact that I have applied 3 other years with no acceptance so I feel that if I don't have a 100% perfect essay, I will fail yet another year! I just have to keep thinking positive and it also helps that I have more work experience to back up my goals!  I"m getting there, just going to take me some time :)

But on a happy note,  I celebrated my 1 year anniversary at my job yesterday.  It seems unreal that I have already been there for that long. Although, its been a very challenging year,  I do enjoy my job and I'm thankful for the ability to be able to work part time and still be able to spend a lot of time with the kids.

And with all the stress that this week brought, I decided that we needed a mini vacation and booked a trip to the Kalahari Resort in Wisconsin Dells for the weekend.  So tomorrow after 4K and also I am the parent helper tomorrow, we will be getting the heck out of town for some much needed family time!

Waterpark fun...here we come!

Sunday Football

It was a "don't get out of your pajamas til noon" type of day today!  And I didn't feel guilty about it for even a minute :) Bryan let me sleep in until 9:00 (bless his heart) and then he even made me breakfast!

We lounged around all day and then had some friends over this afternoon to watch the Packers beat the Bears :)  And we were all dressed for the occasion...

Gotta love lazy Packer Sunday's!

Pumpkin Patch

The kids were up bright and early today so I made breakfast of Christian's choice so we had eggs, pancakes, and bacon.  Then we got ready for the day!

Today was Family Day at the pumpkin patch so I decided to get the kids out of the house for a bit so Bryan could have some sane time. My mom was watching my nieces so we took all the kids and went to Altenburg's for some fun Fall activities.

We fed the goats...

Played on the straw fort...

Played in the cottage...

Went on a hay ride...

And of course, picked out a pumpkin...

The kids had a blast, but they were ready to go as it got closer to lunch time. I can always tell when we have had enough for one day!  I start getting looks like these...

Overall, we had a fun filled day with a lot of memories made!

Warrens Cranberry Festival

I've been looking forward to today for quite some time.  I went with my mother, bright and early, to Warrens Cranberry Festival, aka miles and miles of arts and crafts vendors!  We had so much fun and spent way too much money.  All I can say is that I am so excited for Christmas.  We found so many items for the kids room that are decorative yet fun!  I even found something for myself.

Apparently, headwraps are the newest thing this winter and I had never seen them until today!  I had to try one on and I loved it!  I bought one that is similar to the one below!

I also bought a matching one for Bryleigh which is sequined and identical to the one below, although I also got white for Bryleigh!  I was afraid it would be too big for her but it fit just perfect.

And if I hadn't already spent enough money, I attended my friend's Tupperware party tonight!  I enjoyed the party but I have to say that I'm too cheap to purchase container sets for $100 (Okay, not everything is that expensive but you get the idea!).  Yes, I know they are quality products but I haven't had any problems with my $10 set from Walmart so I think I will stick to those!  Sorry Heather :)  I'm glad that you also sell Miche because that I do love!!!!

Below, is Christian's proudest accomplishment right now! Right now, he is learning about God's creation and he brought home this seed and after only a week, it is almost through the top of the bag (This picture was taken a couple days ago, and now its almost poking through the top.)  Bryan is pretty jealous because we have been trying to grow grass in our yard since mid summer when we cut our trees down and we have been getting only weeds and a tiny bit of grass!

And our little show off!  "Everyone loves a brown eyed girl"

Couldn't help but show off the kids and their creations to end the day!

Its cold season...

I love fall and all the beautiful changing colors but I do not like the weather change :(  It seems like whenever there is ever a drastic change in weather, someone in our family gets sick.  This time it was Bryan who has a cold and is slowly passing it to all of us.  I have a sore throat and Christian and Bryleigh both have runny noses.  So I brought Bryan home some soup and took the kids out to my parents house tonight for a little while so Bryan could relax for a bit (and also for my awesome dad to change the oil in my car!)

Then we got home, had some dinner, and called it a pajama night!

And if one child is getting some attention, you better believe that the next child will be right there to take advantage also!
And Bryleigh is all about "hamming" it up!

Here's to hoping that our colds get better quick and we don't manage to get anyone else sick along the way!

Lazy Sunday

What can I say, another lazy weekend in the Keith household!  Bryan was so sweet and watched both kids so that I could go shopping with my mother yesterday to the Tanger Outlets in Wisconsin Dells.  I am in desperate need of winter clothes for Bryleigh!  I was really disappointed though because I didn't find much of anything that I liked and what little I did find, they didn't have her size.  So I came home with only these two items...

So I will be on the lookout for more cute outfits! Last weekend I cleaned out both of the kids closets and swapped out most summer clothes for winter clothes and Christian is set for winter but not poor Bryleigh girl!

Today, we went to Jenna and Andy's house to cheer on the Packers and Landon, Christian, Carson, and Bryleigh had a great time playing.  Although, Bryleigh never did take a nap and was one crabby girl until she finally gave in to her tiredness at 7:00.   We are on day 3 of no pacifier at bed time or nap time and although, night 1 went very well, it has not been going so well for the past several days :(  Bryeigh now wakes up very early and will not go back to sleep and unless she is really tired, it will take up to 30 minutes for her to calm down in her crib and go to sleep.  But we aren't giving in so I hope it only gets better!

And then tonight, I put together some cute items for a craft show that is coming up in the beginning of October.

Operation under way!

We just got back from dinner to celebrate our cousin Lindsey's 16th birthday!  She is just the sweetest and is the best babysitter we know :)  I Its hard to believe that Lindsey was only 9 years old when Bryan and I first started dating!  We love you Lindsey!

The kids had a blast playing with the jukebox!

And tonight we have Operation Pacifier Removal underway and it was a success so far.  Bryleigh has officially been without a pacifier in her crib for an hour now and there is no crying, or even a peep to be heard of!  I really thought this was going to be difficult because it was pretty hard when we went from all the time to just naptime and bed time!

Just like we did with Christian, our goal was to have her completely off the pacifier by 2 and she is coming up on 2 pretty quick so we feel it is time!  Hopefully the rest of the night and the next couple nights go just as smooth!

But I do have to say that I'm going to miss that sweet face with the pacifier!  She looks so innocent!

31 Gifts

I was invited to a "Thirty One Gifts"  party tonight and I had originally canceled because usually weeknights I just like to relax but I decided at the last minute that I wanted to go.  So the kids and I headed over to our friend, Gina's house.  The kids had a great time.  Christian was the only little boy to the 6 other little girls!  Ha ha.  He loved it though, I'm sure :)  But I was happy that I went because I did find some cute things!

I got the "harvest floral" design organizer tote which the design is on the right in this picture and the bag is similar but it looks more like a diaper bag.  I'm pretty excited about it because Bryeigh's diaper bag is falling apart and we really don't need a diaper bag anymore but a cute bag will be nice to have to throw more than just baby stuff in!

And there were plenty of other items that I wanted like the thermal bag for like picnics and things but I didn't have tons of money to spend so they will have to wait til another time.  And I came home to a happy hubby since he had a tiny break from the kiddos!  So now its time to relax with the honey!

9.11

I will always remember September 11, 2001!  10 years ago today, I was a freshman and sitting in my Science class when I learned of the terrorist attacks.  I can honestly say that I did not know anything about the world trade center or the pentagon, so it did not hit me right away.  But it didn't take me too long to understand these tragic events that unfolded that September Day!

Not only today, but everyday, we remember all the individuals who lost their lives that day!  We will never forget!

God Bless America!

Phoenix turns 2

Today my sweet niece turned 2!  Phoenix is such a sweetheart and is the strongest, most resilient child I know!  I was lucky enough to be able to be in the delivery room when she was born 2 years ago.

I was also there for my sister, when Phoenix was only hours old and had be transported to the nearest NICU because she turned blue and stopped breathing when anyone tried to feed her.

And I was there throughout Phoenix's hospitalizations and surgeries.

And I was there today, when we celebrated 2 special years of this little girls life :)  She is such a miracle baby and never fails to make anyone smile!  Phoenix has overcome so many obstacles in her short time and I thank the Lord for this little girl and how great of friends her and Bryleigh are going to be as they grow up together!

We love you Phoenix!  Happy 2nd Birthday!
