Good Times and Bad Times

Bryan had a dental appointment this morning at the VA in Tomah so kids were able to get their Grandma fix in for the afternoon! And Grandma time doesn't come without lots of spoiling...

Lucky kids were treated to ice cream and Popsicles! And our little stinker Bryleigh even tried to convince Grandma that she doesn't take naps anymore.  Good thing Grandma is smarter than a 2 year old :)

We also had quite the tragedy this afternoon, Goldie II swam the stairway to heaven today.  He has been acting strange in his fishbowl since yesterday and today was apparently his day to go.  We decided that our family has had enough fish for a few months and so we will not be having any other fish family additions anytime soon.  We wished Goldie a farewell by having a small fish funeral down by the river.

Christian said a few special words to Goldie and we closed with a prayer, to which Bryleigh replied, "I meet Jesus too." It was such a comical event and I can only imagine what fisherman down by the river was thinking!  The things we won't do for our kids :)

After our fish funeral, we had dinner and headed out to Christian's first soccer practice. Christian has never played soccer so we signed him up for a 4 week session to teach him the basics of soccer. If he decides he likes it, then he will be old enough to join the Rapids Kickers next summer!

And if ice cream and Popsicles were not enough sweet treats for one day, we took Christian out for ice cream for doing so well at his first soccer practice and also since he did so well at the doctor's on Monday for his immunizations.

Happy Wednesday to you all!
