Sick Baby

Our poor Bryleigh has had a bad cough for several days now.  Christan has had one also but his cough has not been keeping him up at night or causing him any problems like Bryleigh's has. So tonight I took Bryleigh to the walk in clinic. She has a respiratory infection and possible Urinary tract infection, but since it would be difficult to get a urine sample from her, she is getting an antibiotic that will treat both. Poor thing!

One thing I must say, I was overly impressed with the clinic because we were in and out of there in 20 minutes. I dont know many people that can say that about an after  hours clinic.

Tomorrow I have a long day at work and then I get to start my extra long weekend tomorrow evening!

Busy Weekend

We had a very eventful weekend to say the least!  On Friday, we stayed home and had a family movie night!  We watched "Transformers" with Christian and then Bryan and I watched "The Change Up" after the kids went to bed!  Not much exciting to say that we did on 11-11-11!  It does remind me of when Christian was born because Bryan and I had joked that Christian should be born on 07-07-07 so that Bryan could easily remember the date but since it was a Saturday and they do not do inductions on weekends, we now have a 07-09-07 baby!  But Christian's sweet friend, Arianna, was born on 07-07-07!

On Saturday, Bryan and his dad worked on our living room wall again.  It definitely has become a long project and one that we didn't realize would be so much work!  But its almost completed and I'm so excited.  So as a thank you to the inlaws for the help, we took them to dinner at The Branding Iron Supper Club.

I also tried my first Martini!  It was apple and to be honest, I was not a fan!  I'll stick to my fruity drinks :)

I had a girl's day (plus Christian) on Sunday with my mom!  We went to Appleton to get a little more Christmas shopping done!  And I have to say, the day will go down in the top 10 most stressful days!  Bryleigh was having a rough day and she screamed/cried/whined ALL DAY LONG!  It was so frustrating and it took every ounce of me to have patience!  I'm not sure why she was so out of sorts!  Hopefully we don't see that side of Bryleigh come out again anytime soon!  And to say I was excited to head home would be an understatement UNTIL we got a flat tire half way home.  (This is where I insert Bryan's statement of "I will learn do pigtails for Bryleigh when you learn to change a flat tire!) This would have been the best time to have known this skill!  So we had to wait for 45 minutes for my dad to come and meet up with us on the interstate to change it!  Thankfully, Bryleigh did not do too bad for having to sit there that long!

The poor kids were so hungry and tired when we got home!  This will be the last of our shopping trips for a while! But on a positive note,  I found some very cute pictures from Kirkland's for our almost complete living room!  I can't wait to show the finished product when its done!

Lastly,  I'm proud to announce that Christian has learning to zip his coat all by himself this weekend!  Thanks Daddy for making our life easier and for teaching him because he sure is proud of himself now!

Picture Overload and Prayers

Christian had lots of fun at school this past week!  On Wednesday, he was able to take a tour of the IGA Grocery store with his class and Grandma went along as a chaperone!

Tour of the freezer

My cute check out guy

Must be a Daddy's boy...checking out the meat!
And today,  not only was I the parent helper but the class made home made ice cream since they are learning about the dairy group!  I sure love helping out with his class!  Its so fun to see what they are learning about! I can definitely see why he likes school so much.

Since Grandma and Grandpa emailed me some pictures from the past month, I thought I would share!

Christian and Bryleigh had a pretend camp out with Grandma and Grandpa while Daddy and Mommy had a night out several weeks ago!

Here are a few more pictures from the wedding we attended this past weekend...

Although I am so thankful for my family and the fun activities that we are able to enjoy.  Tonight my heart hurts!  Please pray for the family of a little boy who was struck and killed by a pick up truck this afternoon in my hometown!  My heart goes out to the family as I can not imagine how hard this must be!  Story found here.  May God grant them the strength to get through this difficult time.

Winter Wonderland

The day has officially arrived...the first snowfall of the year!  I was not looking forward to this day but actually, it turned out to be very pretty.  As I sat looking out my office window,  I couldn't help but get into the holiday spirit!  It really felt like Christmas!  Okay,  that being said,  it can go away now until Christmas Eve Day and then by December 26, it can melt again :)  He He  At 6:45 this morning,  I walked out to my car and this was my view...

While I was at church with Bryleigh tonight, Christian had a blast helping daddy shovel!  I wish I was there to have taken pictures! We will have to get out to make snowman soon as it is the perfect packing snow to make snow balls!

Oh Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!

The Big 25

The day has officially come...I am now a quarter of a century old!  I remember when I was a teenager and thinking that 25 is "old."  Now I am 25 and completely happy with where I am in life.  Married with 2 beautiful kids and a career that I love (most days)!  I am so thankful that I have such great family and friends who sent me birthday wishes all day long.  The beautiful weather and wonderful dinner with my family made for one great birthday!

I chose Buffalo Wild Wings for my birthday dinner!  I just can't get enough of those wings :)

And we had to hit up the birthday dessert...Coldstone Creamery!  Yumm.

Another year flew by!  I'm excited to see what this next year will bring!

Mr. and Mrs.

On Saturday,  we joined in the celebration of marriage of Char and Karlo!  Char is Bryan's cousin and I also knew Char before I even knew Bryan. And I also grew up with Karlo as we attended the same elementary school! We were unable to go to the ceremony because it was in the middle of nap time but we did go to the reception.

I love being able to dress the kids up and I attempt to take pictures but what can I expect from a 4 year old and a 1 year old.  One is always not looking at the camera!

Take 1
Take 2
Take 3...Finally!

Ha Ha

I wish I could have gotten a better picture of Char's dress because it was so beautiful!  She looked amazing!
The flash ruined it but you get the drift...a very beautiful bride :)

The kids had so much fun dancing!  When it was time for the Couples first dance, I had to drag Bryleigh off the dance floor screaming.

Too cute!
A dance with Grandpa and Grandma
Our attempt at a family picture!

The girl who caught the bouquet, even gave Bryleigh a flower from it!  But as daddy would say,  you are never getting married :)

Congratulations to the gorgeous couple, Karlo and Char!  Thanks for letting us share in your special day!

Extreme Coupon Fail

I became overly excited this past week when I was watching an episode of "Extreme Couponing" on TLC and realized how much these couponers save.  So I decided that I needed to attempt to start using some coupons, and then I saw a commercial that our local Copps was having a special today that they will "Double up to 10 manufacturer coupons."  So this would seem like the realistic day to start my attempt at using coupons.

Since we do not buy the local newspaper (Its free to read the newspaper online), I don't get coupons that way.  I was able to find some decent coupons on coupon.com.  So I printed some, and had several that I had gotten from my Cosmo Magazine and wondered over to Copps.

I was not going to be doing a grocery shopping trip so I just picked out my 10 big ticket items to use with my coupons and went to check out.  So when I heard the total of $84.00, I was shocked.  I questioned their double coupon day and the cashier proceeded to inform me that they "double coupons only up to $1."  By this point, I was very annoyed because there was no mention of this on any signs or adds for the promotion. So I became the annoying shopper that had her void out the majority of my items till my tab was down to $10.00.

Needless to day, my extreme couponing trip was a fail. So I think I will stick to my regular store brand product purchases and avoid the coupons unless I come across some really good ones!

I was very bummed that I couldn't double my $7 off of Crest Whiting Strips and my $4 off of the Swiffer Wet Jet :(

But to conclude with some cute pictures of my princess wearing my favorite winter look...Dresses, Knit Tights, and Boots.

Its so funny when Christian goes to school,  Bryleigh doesn't know what to do with herself.  So the bear became her "fill in Christian"  for the morning!
