Crazy Busy Weekend

I'm still trying to recover from our eventful weekend!  We had lots of fun activities planned for the weekend in addition to my last Saturday of class!  I can officially say that I've completed my 2nd (and hardest) year in graduate school!  Only 2 more years to go!  It is such a relief to have submitted my final paper and have nothing to worry about except what I am going to go to do with my homework free weeknights and weekends!!! I'm loving life right now!

So Saturday after my LAST class, my mom and I went shopping in the Dells. Later on, Bryan, the kiddos, and my in laws met us at the Big Sky Drive in Theater in the Dells so we could watch "How to Train your Dragon 2".

We decided to leave after the first movie because us "old" folks are not able to stay up until 3am anymore.  We didn't get home until after midnight even with leaving after the first movie!

It was definitely hard to get up on Sunday morning, but I forced myself out of bed so that we could take the kids to our local Cranberry Blossom Festival Parade. The weather was beautiful for a parade!

Nice face Christian!

True sibling behavior right here!

After the parade, Grandma and Grandpa decided that we should go to the Zor Shrine Circus Variety Show that was in town!  Thankfully the parade handed out coupons for free children's tickets because it sure was expensive!!!!

The show was over 2 hours long and was fun to watch!  But holy cow do they have a way to nickel and dime you to death. They get the kids all excited about a magic trick and then say, line up here for your magic deck of cards to take home....For only $5.  I felt so bad for the kids but there was no way that I was buying everything that they had to offer there.  But of course, Grandma and Grandpa came to the rescue and purchased light up swords!

And I also learned 3 important lessons while at the circus...1. Do not sit in the front row.  2. Do not volunteer your children for activities because they will pick you instead  and 3) Do not wear a sundress to a circus show because they will pick you to go on stage and make you do activities that expose your entire underside if you do not hold your dress in the right position. ( I have to say that #3 is the most important lesson of all!!  It was so embarrassing and all I could think of was...this is a family friendly show and these kids are getting quite the show!  Thankfully, Bryan said that you could not see my under drawers. Bryan took a video but I'm too scared to look at it for fear of what I might see!  I intentionally shortened the act by "falling" so that I could exit the stage and preposition my dress the way it should be!

But all in all, we have had the most fun in a single weekend than I can ever remember!
