End of Summer!

It's hard to believe that today marks the end of summer.  We went on our annual labor day camping weekend.  Bryan set up the camper for me on Thursday so that Bryleigh and I could head out to the campground a day early while Christian and Dad had a fun surprise planned. Friday, we had a surprise 50th birthday for Bryan's Uncle Richard. The weather cooperated long enough for us to have the party and then the rain started! Unfortunately, it rained almost all weekend. Sunday was a beautiful day so we enjoyed the weather and decided to pack up to head home later that evening. It was a good thing because it rained most of Monday so I got lots done around the house.

Although I didn't like the rain, the kids had a blast finding night crawlers so they could go fishing. Christian sure perfected his skills this weekend. He now knows how to bait his own hook, cast, and take his own fish off the line. Both him and Bryleigh caught 17-20 inch cat fish!  They were so excited. Funny story....Grandma decided to use Christian's fishing pole while we went back to the campsite. Apparently the fish had other ideas because when Grandma left the pole unattended, the fish snatched the pole. So Grandma and Grandpa made a special trip into town to get Christian another pole. Now that is a memorable fishing story!

So to back up a little bit, Christian's big surprise on Thursday evening was going to a Packer Game with Dad!

They had a great time and Christian was so excited to spend time alone with Dad!  Bryleigh and I had a fun girls night camping too!  Those moments are the best!

Christian started 2nd grade today! (Tear) Bryleigh started 4K tomorrow!  I will share pictures tomorrow!
