We are so proud of our little dancer! I'm sure she will be practicing all summer so that she is prepared to start dance again next fall!

Ballet Finale
Bryleigh had her last dance class tonight. We were able to sit in and watch for the last 15 minutes of class. They had a cute little "show" for us!

Happy Mother's Day
I'm truly blessed to be celebrating Mother's Day. I have two amazing children whom I love and adore with all of my heart. They have taught me so much in the short time that I have been a mom. Their sweet, innocent souls are the reason that I have meaning and I wouldn't trade it for the world. They have taught me more about love, kindness, heartache (and headaches), patience, and joy than I could have ever imagined in people so small :) On this mother day's, I can just smile and thank God!
I am rewarded each day that I am a mom but still, I received a few gifts from Bryan and the kids. Bryan knows my lack of ability with plants so well that he brought me flowers that only require 2 ice cubes weekly. It will be very hard for me to forget to water them now!
And to my mother...Thank you for everything that you have taught me! You are a selfless person and have always done anything and everything for us girls to have the life that we dreamed of! You have seen me through the best and worst of times and our relationship has only grown stronger. You have instilled so many great values in me including humility, gratefulness, and compassion! I wouldn't be who I am today if it wasn't for you! P.S. You are amazing, I'm pretty sure that you are the only mom that would drive with me to Madison every weekend for school!
To my mother in law...You have been in my life for almost a decade now and have taught me so much about marriage, being a mother, and being a wife. I'm blessed to have such a special person as my mother in law and second mother! I know that I can always rely on you and appreciate all that you do for us!
Happy Mother's Day to all my family and friend's! May God Bless you on this special day!

Our Blessed Evening
Tonight was our usual busy Wednesday evening. After school, Christian had soccer practice. Dad took both kiddos to soccer while I stayed home to finish up my PowerPoint presentation for school and also make Christian's snack for tomorrow!
These cupcakes turned out very cute but boy does Pinterest make things look so easy! Let me tell you, these stinkers were time consuming! Christian's class better love them tomorrow :)
After the family returned home from soccer practice, we headed to Skate City for Christian's fun night for Weekday Bible School! It was a lot of fun and a great way to wrap up Bible School for the year. We ate pizza, played games, jumped in the bounce house, and the kids rode their scooters around the skate rink!

We appreciate our Teachers :)
It is Teacher Appreciation Week and although we appreciate teachers all the time, I'm glad that they have an entire week to celebrate the amazing people that have enormous amounts of patience and dedication to teach the little people who will become the future of tomorrow :)
So in honor of Christian's teacher, Mrs. Pierchalski and her aide, Mrs. Giraud, we put together a little gift!
We did something similar for Christian's teachers last year but it is just a fun idea to help them start of their summer! So if you haven't thanked your child's teacher yet this week, please do!
And we can't forget about home school mom's either, they are truly amazing and no less important!

Sunday Road Trip
Today we took a road trip to Appleton. Although I have a mile long list of things that I should be doing, we decided to do something that I do not need to be doing...shopping and playing!
Great American Cookies...Yumm!
We went to the mall and found a few new shirts for Bryan! I told him this morning that as much as I love reminiscing about high school, there does come a time when we have to give up our high school clothes. My time came when I had kids and could no longer fit into my clothes from high school but Bryan's time has come now that the printing is wearing thin on all his clothes :) So we are slowly but surely replacing his wardrobe! Its a double bonus...Bryan gets new clothes AND I get to shop!
We went for lunch at my favorite restaurant...Hu Hot's. And after we headed to Monkey Joe's for an afternoon of bouncing fun!
Great American Cookies...Yumm!
We actually were home by dinner time and were able to let the kids play outside before bath time. Christian and Daddy got their heads shaved too!
I'm definitely loving the summer haircuts! We are ready for the warm weather to stay for awhile now!

Prom 2013
This evening, we decided to keep the kids up past bed time to go spectate at Prom! Our cousin, Lindsey, was on prom court and there was no way that we were going to miss it! Bryleigh was very excited to go see "Princesses" so she decided that she needed to dress up like a princess too!
Lindsey and her boyfriend, Daniel, both looked amazing! I'm so glad that we decided to go. Secretly, its my way to live vicariously through all the cute girls who get to go to Prom since I never got to go. (The price I have to pay for dating the not so nice boys in high school :(

I enjoyed seeing all of the unique dresses that are in style for Prom these days. I'm pretty sure that the majority of the dresses cost way more than what I paid for my wedding dress! Those dresses were so elaborate and poofy!
It was a fun time and we enjoyed getting out for the night, and so did the kids. They were worn out by the time that we got home and were sleeping within a few minutes of putting them to bed. I would say that is what you call a successful night :)

Trials and Tribulations
At church yesterday, I really enjoyed the message that our Pastor delivered. It really resonated with me as I have been so stressed lately with my 2 large papers that I have due soon. This month, we are reviewing the book of James. The message of the sermon was "Trials and Tribulations based on James 1: 2-4:
Pastor Paul stated it perfectly when he stated that if everything goes right all the time, then we soon start to forget to thank God for all that we have. But when we encounter struggles, it forces us to turn to God for guidance which makes us stronger.
It was the encouragement I needed to get through the next couple of weeks!
