Graduation Day!

I made it...through 4 years of graduate school!  Hundreds of papers, hours spent in the car traveling back and forth to Madison each Saturday, long nights of studying, many tears shed due to missing events and activities of the kids, countless hours thinking about all the things I would rather be doing than attending school, but I did it!  I graduated!

Class of 2016!  I feel accomplished...and relieved to finally have my Saturday's back :)

The End of Journey

4 years ago, I never thought the day would ever come. There have been many ups and downs and a significant amount of tears shed but this chapter is finally coming to a close. After 4 long years. I can finally say that I have sat through my last class as a graduate student ( I still have one online class this summer but I don't physically have to sit in a classroom or drive 2 hours to get there!) Saturday was a very emotional day for my seminar class. We have been through marriages, babies, loss of loves ones, new jobs, etc over the past 4 years and have become more than just classmates, we are like family now.  We shed many tears on Saturday, knowing that after we go through the graduation ceremony on Saturday, we will only go off on our way. We will vow to keep in contact but everyone realizes that life happens! I'm just very thankful that we have Facebook to keep up to date on each's others lives.  I have been blessed to have met so many great people and have learned so much from each and every one of them. Yayy, Class of 2016!  Proud to be an UW-Madison School of Social Work MSW Graduate!

And Happy Mother's Day to all you ladies out there!  It was a great weekend to celebrate so many wonderful things going on in my life...especially my 2 greatest blessing!

Shout out to my Momma and Mother in Law since they are extra special to me and I wouldn't be where I am today without them! Love you both!

Our gymnastics girl!

It was a very exciting week for little miss Bryleigh girl.  After 3 years of of being in gymnastics, and Bryleigh practicing alongside the competition team girls, her dream finally came true when she joined the "big girls" as she refers to them on the team!

We are so proud of our little competitor! She has a true passion for gymnastics and we can't wait to see where her skills and abilities take her!

Surprise Vacation

After a very stressful month of February, March is turning out to be pretty amazing!  After weeks of uncertainty, stress, and worry, we received the news in early March from Bryan's neurologist and neurosurgeon that his brain tumor has not changed in size and no treatment is needed at this time! They are unsure what may be causing his visual field changes but the most significant concerns have been ruled out, so now they just closely monitor him. We were so thankful to hear this news.

Little did Bryan know that I had a surprise vacation planned since January for our anniversary which was all up in the air due to all of the medical issues that arose. I thought it would be a perfect time to inform Bryan of the surprise following the final doctor's appointment when we received the amazing news that we were hoping to hear...no changes!  So this left 1 week for Bryan to pack and prepare for our vacation to Cozumel, Mexico!

We got back from our trip this past week and it was certainly amazing!  We couldn't have asked for a better weather!  I'm so glad that Bryan and I had this time to spend together while the kids had a blast spending time with Grandma and Grandpa!

And although we came back to a snow storm the following day, we are happy to be home and spending Easter with our family!
