We started off our morning by attending "Easter Village" hosted by our church. We look forward to this fun filled morning every year. A time where the kids can decorate cookies, eggs, art projects, and hunt for Easter eggs all while learning of God's love through the skits and themes of the morning.
I volunteered in the craft area for a bit while Bryan, my mom and dad, and my sister's fiance and her 2 kids went to cookie decorating and the skit. Then my mom helped in the craft area while I went on the egg hunt and egg decorating with the kids. We had a great morning!
We went over to the in-laws tonight for more egg coloring and Grandma and Grandpa time. They wanted to test out my Chicken Cordon Bleu so we made that for dinner for the second time this week :) Its still delicious the second time around! And while at the Grandparents, Christian informed them that the only thing he wanted from the Easter Bunny was a chocolate bunny. Of course, in an attempt to cut back on the candy this year, we decided to stick to only jelly beans and some Reese's PB cups. But how does your heart not melt when you hear your little boy say ALL he wants is a chocolate bunny. Needless to say, we had to make a quick run to the store tonight :)
As you can tell in the letter that Christian insisted on writing to the Easter Bunny, he mentions the chocolate bunny once again! Good thing we are not prepared :)
This Easter Bunny is wiped out for the night so now that the baskets are all hidden, I am off to bed so that we can wake up bright and early for the festivities to begin!
