The kids could not be any happier that Great Grandma and Grandpa are home from their winter stay in Florida! We took a long bike ride around town tonight and made a night of it. Although our last stop of the the night, it was our most important... a surprise visit to Great Grandma and Grandpa!
We sure missed them and our glad that they made it home safe and sound! (With only a little jealously about the nice tans that they have but we don't :)
It was getting pretty late on our bike ride and I had planned for leftovers for dinner but instead we made our first stop of the season at Kathy's Drive Inn.
It was delicious as always! It will not be the last visit to the Drive in this year!
We made a stop down the river to watch the dam for a bit, showed the kids were daddy lived when he was little, and just rode around time for a bit. Overall, a fun evening with the kids. We are sure enjoying our bike trailer this year as the Bryleigh has hated it for the past 2 years and now both the kids love it!
On another note, Christian's last day of school for the week was today. To end Easter week at school, Christian's class had an Easter Art Gallery and also put on an Easter program. Sadly, I couldn't take off of work, but Christian had his cheering section non the less. Great Grandma, Grandma, Daddy, and Bryleigh all came to his program. And I get to share in the fun with the pictures that I requested!
Also, upon request, Christian sang me the "Zaccaeus" song from his program. After hearing it, I'm pretty sure I sang the same song when I was at the Preschool.
Now one more short day of work and then its a fun weekend celebrating my favorite, more meaningful Holiday...Easter!!!!
