We finally opened up Christian's slip n slide that he got from his birthday party! The kids had a blast enjoying the cool water on a hot day a few weeks ago!
While we were outside playing, we found our little furry friend...a baby squirrel! Bryleigh noticed him sitting next to my car. When we approached it, we saw that is was not moving. Our first thought was that it was hurt. But after spending a little time with it, we noticed that it appeared hungry and thirsty!

Although, we wanted to keep him as a pet, we knew that we couldn't. We attempted to call the Humane Society who told us to contact the DNR. Well, the DNR was closed for the day so we called the local pet shop. Fortunately, the owner raises sick squirrels until they are well enough to be released back into their habitat so we took our friend in to the shop. We found out that she is a 7 week old female that was severely dehydrated and hungry! So we had quite the eventful night with our furry friend. It was great to know that she will be okay!
