Yesterday, Bryan had doctor appointments so Grandma Lisa picked up Christian from Preschool. And she was excited to tell me that Christian received the results from his 3 year old assessment at school. The teacher was very impressed, so I"m told. The tested him on colors, body parts, shapes, counting, matching, placing objects, self help, social, following directions, and group activities. Christian knew all his colors except grey, he knew all about his body parts, he knew all his shapes except for diamond and hexagon, he did well with self help and social except he has some problems with sharing (who would have thought since he has a 1 year old sister who tries to take all his toys from him), and he participates in all activities but shys away from the actions such as finger plays (I"m pretty sure he gets this from his mother!). His teacher, Miss Kelli writes, "Christian is a pleasure to have in class! He is very well rounded and this shows in his ability to play in any area and with anyone! He easily adapts to all activities!
He also said to Grandma Lisa yesterday, "Do you know Martin Luther King? He gave a speech, he is a very smart man." What a character! They must have discussed him this week at school. I was hoping he would tell me about Martin Luther King and later on he did. I was able to have him repeat the things and I caught it on video camera!
He has quite the little gestures and attitude lately but he never fails to keep us laughing. And boy does he have some good dancing moves! We are so proud of our little man! He never ceases to amaze us!
