I don't get to go to Target too often but I sure wish we had one here in town because I would shop there all the time. Well, Bryan would not want that because we would probably be broke but I sure would. I stopped there today because I really need 12 month jeans for Bryleigh and although I did not come out with any jeans, I got her some cute outfits! And I would have liked to get more but I know I need to limit myself. These are my cute finds for the day!
I love how I can mix and match with their clothes! And the Easter Bunny although brought Bryleigh a pair of sandals and slip on shoes for summer from Target! Oh I think I have found my latest addiction! Good thing Bryan is working on the marsh for a couple of months :)

Trying Times
Have you ever just felt like this?
Well this has been the story of my life for the past few weeks. Like I had said before, during, and after our trip to Mexico, I felt so guilty for leaving the kids. And since then, I have come to see changes in Christian especially. He has been acting out and being more stubborn than usual. I have been having a LOT of stress at work and I try so hard to leave it at work but its so hard. Then I come home and Christian has been throwing more and more temper tantrums. I think they call this the "trying threes" right? I'm hoping that its a phase and will pass soon! I mean the boy would rather sit in a timeout for 20 minutes and scream rather than come and talk about what he had done. I mean who in this family is that stubborn :) Okay maybe I am just a little!
And then to add to the mix, Bryleigh is really learning to test our patience right now too! Wow, I'm pretty sure between the two of them, they are great birth control :) And to think I wanted to start trying for baby # 3 this year :)
But I still can't get enough of them!
Sorry for the lack of Christian pictures...like I was saying earlier "trying threes" which also means Mr. attitude does not want pictures taken!

Christ has Risen Indeed! Alleluia!
Its definitely a great day and a day of celebration to remember the true reason of Easter! Jesus Christ has risen indeed! Alleluia! One of my most favorite holiday's is today and its such a beautiful day also! Couldn't ask for anything better but a day filled with family, food, and fun!
It has been a weekend celebration actually! The festivities started yesterday with our annual Easter Village at church! Some of the fun activities included a puppet show, egg decorating, egg hunt and cookie making.
Then we came home to dye Easter eggs with Grandma and Denali!
Before bedtime last night, Christian reminded me that we had to leave his pretty purple egg for the Easter Bunny!
And Christian insisted that we leave him this note! Oh how I love the thinking of a 3 year old! I was just the transcriber but he thought of the note himself :)
And bright and early at 6:00 this morning, Christian runs into the bedroom to inform me that the Easter Bunny ate his purple egg! So we decided to get up and see what the Easter Bunny had brought!
And then we attempted to get some pictures before church but it was too early of morning it appears!
Along with Easter, we also get to celebrate our foster sister's baptism today! The Lord sure has blessed us!
We didn't waste anytime and headed over to the other Grandparents house for more baskets and egg hunts!
And after a fun filled day we were all ready to come home and get ready for bed, but not before the kids enjoyed putting their money in their piggy banks!

And after a quick nap, we headed over to my Grandparents for Lunch! Unfortunately my mom came down with a bug this weekend and she wasn't able to join us. We sure did miss her!
Christian was not a happy camper which usually happens after he is woken up from a nap, but he did cheer up after we announced the Easter Egg Hunt was going to begin!

I hope everyone had as great of an Easter as we did!

Miss Sassy Pants
Little miss Bryleigh has been quite the little stinker lately! She is so independent and such a little mover that there is no way that she can just sit in one spot for any length of time.
That being said, you can just imagine how our Good Friday Church Service went this afternoon! Not good. Ever since Christian began walking and talking, it has become increasingly difficult to go to church and get anything out of the message but I keep it up because I really want the kids to grow up learning and connecting with God! I'm hoping that one day it gets easier to go to church with 2 kids. Bryleigh hollered, threw fits, and attempted to run everywhere during the church service. Is it bad to say that I was ready to come home?
So now I am ready for a nap but now the kids will be waking up soon! But that's par for the course, right? But you can't be frustrated with this face for long...

The Dreaded Milestone: Daycare
Our family has been fortunate since we live so close to family that they are more than willing to help watch the kids. But there comes a time when daycare is needed. When Christian was 18 months, we started him at a Lutheran daycare in town and loved it. He would go 2 days a week and then to Grandma's for 3 days a week. It was rough for a while but he soon grew to like it!
Bryan has been amazing and has been a stay at home daddy since I returned to work last September and I love knowing that the kids are home safe all day! But I know that I can't be selfish and that he needs to get out of the house too so when he was offered a temporary job at the cranberry marsh he worked for last fall, I knew that daycare was going to be needed :( My in laws are on vacation right now so that was not an option. So on Monday, Bryleigh started daycare and she did AMAZING! She didn't cry at all! This takes some getting used to on my part because Christian took weeks to adjust and dropping him off every morning just about killed me! But Bryleigh girl is sure my little miss independent and social so she enjoys being around other kids. And our daycare is actually a teacher that left Christian's daycare and started watching kids in her own home! So she knows both of my kids really well!
So right now we have a crazy hectic schedule until my in laws return next week! Monday and Wednesdays both the kids go to Miss Chris's house and on Tuesdays and Thursdays Bryleigh goes to Miss Chris's and Christian goes to preschool/daycare at the school! But thankfully next week, my mother in law will watch the kids Tues-Thurs. and the kids will go to Miss Chris's on Wednesday's! So it sure has been busy and stressful since we returned from vacation but I guess what can I expect coming back from paradise :)
And not to mention... I have a little helper.... Bryleigh is at the age now that she loves helping! She throws her own diapers away willingly (Yipee!!!) And she puts her laundry in the hamper! What more could a mother ask for :)

More flowers
I got my first hair bow order! I was so excited! I also made Bryleigh's flower to match her Easter dress. It blows my mind how fast April went and that this weekend is already Easter!
Christian also wanted to some "art projects" that have been hanging around the house! So yesterday, I let "loose" you could say and let him get messy!!! AHHHH! I know I need to let my boy get messy but I'm just so used to keeping him clean :) He had a blast though!
And then, last night I received a phone call that Christian had won a gift basket that we had signed up for at the Children's Festival! Christian was so excited when we picked it up today!
Tonight we finally took Christian to get his hair cut. He really needed it! And we had grilled cheese and tomato soup for dinner because this Mommy was too tired to cook! I'm ready for bed already!
Of course I have to have a little princess to model the headbands! |
This bow will match one of her dresses I just bought this weekend! |
Easter Dress |
The finished product :) Quite the colorful Winnie the Pooh |
He didn't waste any time getting into this! |
